Open Your Hands and See All the People.....

When my son was young he was delighted with the little finger play about the Church.  He would imitate the motions while either my wife or I repeated "Fold your hands, now point those two fingers up.  So, 'Here is the Church, and there is the steeple, open the doors and see all the people. Close the doors, and listen to them pray. Open the doors again, and all walk away... Finger Play Link  In our KACS music files Scott Wesley Brown's song, "This is Church" describes groups of people gathering in several places.  In Africa they gather in the bush under the open sky. In Siberia they gather in the woods and tundra. In old Jerusalem they gather in an upstairs room.  Funny thing is the song doesn't mention a specific building other than that room.  It repeats the phrase each time "wherever God's people are, brother, this is church."  Right now you may not be able to gather in the building you normally would. But in most cases God's people are finding ways to still get together over the internet, on the phone with video chats, driving up and staying in their cars in a parking lot, etc.  We are delighted to see the creativity our coverage area faith groups are using -- because the church isn't a building,  it's all of us!  If you're unable to join your usual church group as they gather in cyberspace, join us here at KACS Saturday 11am PST for inspiring messages from Pastor John Bradshaw, speaker for It Is Written; and Doug Bachelor, speaker for Wonders in The Word. Then participate by listening for the KACS Worship Hour with praise, prayer and message Sunday morning at 11am PST. God is with us, and we are His people. Let's work together, open our hearts and hands and "see all the people."
