Partial Evidence - Fingerprints of God

You might see it on forensic investigation shows; the authorities getting that all important fingerprint providing the clinching proof in a specific case.  On your KACS Network we're playing Dan Bremnes "Fingerprints." Great song urging us to think about the fingerprints we leave in others lives, and to look for the fingerprints God leaves in ours. As Dan describes it, you'll find God's fingerrpints in the relationships around you. You can see God's "handiwork"-- if His hands are involved, it's got to leave some fingerprints!  -- He leaves those prints in changed lives, and in things like the beauty of his creation (such as a beautiful summer sunset or a starry night sky).  You may see it in the smiling face of a grandson, or your firstborn daughter as she grows. But fingerprints aren't 100% reliable. Various civil authortities have relied on the identifying marks of fingerprints for well over a century. Hence the frequency of fingerprints being part of those forensics shows. Every person has very specific, unique only to themselves fingerprints.  However, fingerprints can be smudged, smeared and even purposefully altered, and often fingerprints are only partial. It's the same thing with the "fingerprints" God leaves behind for you to investigate his work in your life.  They may only give you a partial glimpse of who He is and what He intends.  Just like civil authorities needing additional corroborating evidence with partial fingerprints, we need corroborating evidence convicting us of God's purpose and activity in our lives. The best corroborating evidence is his own personal testimony between the covers of your Bible.  "All Scripture is inspired by God and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, for training in righteousness; so that the man of God may be adequate, equipped for every good work...After it was at the first spoken through the Lord, it was confirmed to us by those who heard, God also testifying with them, both by signs and wonders and by various miracles and by gifts of the Holy Spirit according to His own will." ( 2 Timothy 3:16 - Hebrews 2:3-4)  So, look for His fingerprints today, and read his testimony for yourself. He is eager to have the evidence convict us of his love beyond any shadow of a doubt every day. -- Cameron Beierle, KACS General Manager
